We drink this water, we bathe in it, rinse our fruits and vegetables and wash our dishes with unsafe water. Public filtration systems do filter out some contaminants but that does not mean it’s safe or good by any means. Our tap water just meets federal standards. The federal standards are inadequate, unacceptable and are only red flagged when they exceed a high percentage when the percentage should always be ZERO for our health and safety.
